Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine and Indonesia’s USU School of Medicine sign dual-degree MOU

Commitment to ongoing collaboration, including student and faculty exchanges

Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine is promoting a dual-degree program and student and faculty exchanges with Indonesia’s USU School of Medicine.

Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine announced on the 28th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) School of Medicine in Indonesia on the 26th to establish an international dual-degree program.

This MOU aims to enhance the global competencies of students and faculty by promoting innovative educational and research exchanges between the two institutions and breaking down cultural and academic barriers. They plan to establish a lasting partnership through a dual-degree program, student and faculty exchanges, joint research, academic symposiums, and various other collaborative activities.

Founded in 1952, USU is one of Indonesia's national universities, and its School of Medicine, established in 1970, is dedicated to advancing medical education and regional healthcare.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Associate Dean Inke Nadia D. Lubis and pediatric neurology specialist Professor Cynthea Prima Destariani from USU. Representing Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine were Associate Dean Byung-chul Lee, Associate Dean of Research Hee-jun Park, Department Head Woong-seok Cha, Pre-med Director Jin-bong Park, Director of the International Institute of Korean Medicine Education Sang-hoon Lee, and Head of the Department of Pathology Professor Bong-yi Kim.
